Hi, my name is Emily. I live in the beautiful country of Canada with my husband and our 5 children. We live in a growing town and we homeschool our children. I have loved art for as long as I can remember. Growing up my mom was always crafting, sewing, gardening, or writing. I definitely see those things inspiring my art practice today. I am a believer in Jesus and He is the main inspiration behind this page and my shop. He created me to create, and so here I am!

I read books whenever I have a moment as a way of personal development. Some impactful books I have read are ‘Unlocking the Heart of the Artist’ and ‘Creativity According to the Kingdom’ by Matt Tommey. These books were immensely wise, well-written, and helpful. I was honestly a bit blown away. If you are looking for something to ignite your art practice, I definitely recommend them.

As far as my art style goes, I honestly feel as though I am still discovering that. However, this gift of art journaling, which I have just recently (and finally) tried, really makes art so accessible.. even with 5 or 10 minute blocks of time in the evening. I have always been someone who struggles with painting loosely and with abstract art, and yet I am always drawn to those styles. I feel like this is the missing piece of the puzzle.
