I haven’t been super diligent at documenting, but here are a few of the sights from our trip so far. See if you can spot the flock of Canadian geese, I still can’t believe how many we saw! We went to an art museum today, a lot of it was a little too art-y for me, but the Smith Collection was really beautiful and inspiring and I’m planning to share some photos from the museum tomorrow. The man at the front desk was so kind and welcomed us to take photos. I am finding people here to be so friendly, helpful, and polite. We also did some antiquing– the antique shops here are amazing! I love all of the old jadeite dishware, heirloom quilts, old books, and vintage postcards and paperwork. The old typewriters are so beautiful as well. There were definitely a few things I would have loved to take home, but since we have been decluttering, it seemed better to just window shop. I did fall in love with a deer painting in a local gallery, and I’m hoping it will still be there when we move.
Tomorrow we are hoping to head south and see some other small towns in the area. I have never been to Texas before this trip, and it really is a lot to take in. If you have been before or are from here, what is your favorite place to visit in Texas?
Thanks for stopping by!
