I’m Establishing You

I titled this for obvious reasons, so I won’t bother explaining that part, but the actual words were from a prophetic word received by Nate Johnston (in Australia). I signed up for the Elijah List and there are certain prophets whose words almost always resonate with the exact season I’m walking in. Nate is one of those. This word he spoke about God establishing us resonated with me so profoundly that I needed to do something about it. So I decided to write the word out, to use in my art journal. I have been wanting to develop my hand lettering skills for the past two years, so I took it as an opportunity to practice that as well. I figured it would make for good background paper, but ended up liking it enough to use as the main focus. I believe we, as the body of Christ, ARE in a season of being established as Rightful Heirs in this earth. It is time to take our place, and bring God’s governmental authority back to the pillars of our society. 18 “Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. (Matt 18:18 NKJV)

As for the art journal itself, this one is a bit wild and all over the place. I worked on the background part quite a while ago, and then finished the top layer today, and I think you can tell. But I believe nothing ever has to be wasted, and I like to think of ‘less favourite’ art as an opportunity to learn. It’s always good to evaluate why we find something successful or unsuccessful, and then bring that knowledge forward when we are facing similar moments in new art. What did I like in my last painting, and how can I incorporate elements of that here? Art truly is a lot of problem solving, and I find that part so satisfying. I believe it was Kevin Zadai who said that at God’s throne He only has solutions (not a direct quote). I LOVE that about Him. Makes me realize how important it is to remember that when I’m facing a challenge.. He already has a solution for me, He just wants to commune with me about it. “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. (Matt 7:7-8 NKJV) It really is that simple, and He really is that good ❤️
